No pipe. Just a line set.
No gas piping. No circuit setters, control valves, copper pipe, pete’s plugs, air gaps, ball valves, unions, etc.
It’s a regular thing to be asked for a fan coil with a hydronic hot water coil and a remote DX unit. But what if the piping wasn’t required? The piping may very well cost more than the fan coil.
But now it’s not necessary. Just use a heat pump, check the derated heating performance for the design condition, and voila!
The high static models can handle a MERV13 filter pressure drop. Add a trim heater for very cold days.
The Kinghome ultraheat models may very well get you enough heat in winter that nothing additional is required.
